The 12-time Sports Emmy Award winner has earned distinction by producing captivating work filled with rich storytelling. Well-versed at running shows in fluid production environments, under the tightest of deadlines, Boggins continues to expand his credit list, most recently with a project which debuted January 2018. An innovative groundbreaking documentary series that premiered on National Geographic Channel, entitled Chain of Command. A 8-part series produced in partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense. The series chronicled the fight against violent extremism from a variety of POV’s. From the highest levels within the U.S. Military to boots on the ground from coalition partners to refugees caught in its devastating path, Chain of Command told stories of the war on terror unlike ever before.
In 2016, Boggins was the show runner/Executive Producer of the acclaimed Showtime series, The Circus. A real time documentary series following the 2016 election. From the Iowa Caucus to election day, The Circus provided a behind the scenes account of the drama and intrigue of the most compelling presidential election in history.
Under his own production company, Tarras Productions, Boggins developed and executed multiple documentaries for Showtime, Fox-Sports, and NBC. Projects like Being: Liverpool, Hoops U, and The Ranch. Previous to that, Boggins served as Coordinating Producer of the groundbreaking HBO-Sports series “24/7”. A series which established a tv format, which today has become industry-standard. Synonymous for its gritty aesthetic, timely presentation, and authentic storytelling of human drama surrounding marquee events.
From 1998 to 2006, Boggins served as lead producer at NBC Olympics during the Sydney, Salt Lake, Athens, and Torino Olympics. In addition to his 12 Emmy awards, Boggins earned two Cynopsis Awards, an Eclipse Award and the IOC Golden Rings.
